Course Description:
This course introduces the fundamental concepts of macroeconomics, including the measurement of economic performance (GDP, inflation, and unemployment), the role of monetary and fiscal policies in stabilizing economies, and the dynamics of aggregate demand and supply. Through real-world applications, the course equips students with a strong foundation to understand and evaluate economic policies and trends.

ECON 2020: Introduction to Microeconomics

Course Description:
The core objective of this course is to acquaint you with the major concepts in microeconomics and their applications in real-world activities. This introductory course delves into how individuals, households, and firms make decisions in response to changes in the constraints they face. It covers fundamental microeconomic concepts and analysis, including opportunity cost, demand and supply, externalities, elasticity, and theories of the firm, individual behavior, competition, and monopoly. Upon completing the course, students will have a solid understanding of the basics of microeconomics and the analytical tools necessary to evaluate the economic behavior and decision-making of individuals, households, firms, and governments.
